Hinweis | Das Panton-Valentine-Leukozidin (PVL) ist ein Exotoxin, das von manchen Staphylococcus aureus- Stämmen exprimiert wird und einen zusätzlichen Virulenzfaktor darstellt. Typisch sind rezidivierende Haut- und Weichteilinfektionen. Die nekrotisierende Pneumonie ist sehr selten, jedoch ist sie mit einer hohen Letalität verbunden. Zur Diagnostik ist ein Abstrich oder respiratorisches Material erforderlich. Aus diesem erfolgt zunächst eine kulturelle Anzucht eines Staphylococcus aureus mit einer anschliessenden molekularbiologischen Untersuchung (PCR). Die Untersuchung auf PVL muss explizit engefordert werden. |
