- Proctitis and proctocolitis
- Evaluations for chlamydia and neisseria gonorrhea have to be especially requested. For chlamydia, special extraction equipment is required.
Description:
Taking of a rectal swab:
- Patient lying on the side with bended knees
- Swab is inserted into the anal opening and gently turned several times. It is then placed in the transport medium.
- In case of ulcerations a specific swab should be taken directly from the lesions.
