Indication: Suspicion of onychomycosis

• Carefully disinfect suspicious areas with alcohol, scrape a sufficient amount of nail parts from the focal infectious borders (at the transition area to the healthy nail) using a scalpel and collect in a tube with screw top, for transport.

Crumbling nail parts are just as unsuitable for examination as nail cuttings. If needs be send in the complete nail.
