Eclampsia / Preeclampsia (EPH-gestosis)
Description | Clinical presentation: Frequency of preeclampsia: approximately 9 % of all pregnant women
Sodium, potassium, creatinine, urea, uric acid, GOT, GPT, gamma-GT, AP, LDH, urine status, INR, PTT, d-dimers (citrate plasma), thrombocyte count
Total protein in the 24-hour urine, haptoglobin, free hemoglobin, before 34th week of pregnancy: anticardiolipin-antibodies, lupus-anticoagulants (citrate plasma), lipoprotein (a), creatinine-clearance, urine-protein-SDS-electrophoresis, evaluation of thrombophilia (see there). Special form: HELLP-syndrome (hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes and low platelets). Thrombocytes (↓), Haptoglobin (↓) (most sensitive analytic). SGOT (↑), SGPT (↑), bilirubin (↑), d-dimer (↑), antithrombine III (↓), fibrinogen (↓), fragmentocytes oder schistocytes in the blood smear (in approximately 50 %), consumption coagulopathy possible. Differential diagnosis hemolytic-uremic syndrome, thrombotic-thrombocytopenic purpura, hyperemesis gravidarum with reduction of kidney function, abruption placentae, medication intoxication Please also refer to section “gestational hypertension” |
