Principle | On suspicion of insulin resistance, evaluation of insulin levels may be sensible after 60 or 120 min. Insulin levels of > 100 mU/l after 60 min and > 75 mU/l after 120 min indicate insulin resistance even in case of inconspicuous blood sugar levels. |

Material | 2 ml sodium fluoride blood each, before (0 min value) and 60 min or 120 min after glucose administration. If necessary also 2 ml serum each for insulin. |
