Voltage-gated calcium channel complex autoantibodies (P/Q type)
((VGCC antibodies, P/Q type))
Material: | 1 ml serum |
Methods: | Ligandenassays → Radioimmunoassay (RIA) | Reference range | < 30 pmol/l |
Indication | LEMS (Lambert Eaton myasthenic syndrome), paraneoplastic cerebellar syndrome |
Please note | VGCC-antibodies (PQ-type >N type) are found in LEMS (Lambert Eaton myasthenic syndrome) and paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration. They are often associated with a lung tumor (especially small cell bronchial carcinoma). They also often occur together with other onconeural antibodies such as Sox1. |
