Molecular fungal diagnostics, multiplex-PCR
Material: | At least 2 swabs (dry, without medium), at least 1 ml respiratory tract material, at least 1 ml culture material (in medium), further material (stool, biopsies, synovial fluid etc.) if necessary, after previous telephone consultation. Samples should be stored in a sterile container at 4 – 8°C. |
Methods: |
Amplifikationsverfahren → PCR und Chipelektrophorese Amplifikationsverfahren → Real-time-PCR Amplifikationsverfahren → PCR und Sequenzierung | Criteria for evaluation | negative |
Indication | Differential diagnosis of unclear respiratory or other infections with potential fungal participation/genesis. |
Please note | The following pathogens are captured (qualitative): Candida spp.: C. albicans, C. glabrata, C. tropicalis, C. krusei, C. parapsilosis, C. guilliermondii, C. dubliniensis. Aspergillus spp.: A. spp. with differentiation of A. fumigatus and A. terreus. Further fungi can be identified optionally identified by dna sequencing. |
