Histone autoantibodies
(H1, H2A, H2B, H3, H4 and H5)
Material: | 1 ml serum |
Methods: | Ligandenassays → Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) | Reference range | negative |
Indication | Medication-induced lupus erythematosus (> 95 %), SLE (50 % – 70 %), rheumatoid arthritis (5 % – 14 %), Felty-syndrome |
Please note | Drugs, which can cause a medication-induced LE are hydralazine, procainamide, isoniazid, chlorpromazine, carbamazepine und penicillamine. Histone antibodies can be an indication for disease-activity of SLE. Low titer histone IgM-antibodies are often seen in multiple inflammatory rheumatic illnesses and are quite often seen in healthy patients also. |
