Hereditary spherocytosis
(EMA-test, AGLT, PINK-test)
Material: | 5 ml EDTA-blood (for pre-analytical reasons we would ask for previous telephone consultation) |
Methods: | Durchflusszytometrie → Durchflusszytometrie | Reference range | EMA-test: > 400 MFI PINK-test (AGLT): 0 % - 25 % hemolysis |
Indication | Suspicion of hereditary spherocytosis (Spherocytic anemia) |
Please note | Heredity spherocytosis is a mainly autosomal-dominant hereditary defect of the erythrocytic membrane with resulting hemolytic anemia of varying severity. The previously used evaluation of the osmotic resistance of erythrocytes has been largely replaced by cytometric methods (EMA-test, PINK-test). Human-genetic evaluation is possible. |
