Hepatitis B genotyping
Material: | 2 ml EDTA-blood |
Methods: | Amplifikationsverfahren → PCR und Sequenzierung |
Indication | Prior to commencement of therapy (as per current guidelines) |
Please note | Evaluation of hepatitis B genotype (A,D,G) by PCR in the context of a potential therapy decision. Prior to evaluation of HBV genotype, initially there is a quantitative evaluation of the virus titer. Please also refer to HBV-DNA and relevant guidelines. Determining the HBs-antigen Escape mutant is also possible. HBV genotype evaluation is not funded by the German statutory medical insurances. |
