Indication | Checks to see whether eradication therapy was successful, suspicion of re-infection in case of ulcer confirmed by endoscopy, suspicion of ulcers in children |
Please note | The patient should have been empty-stomached (without food or drink) for a minimum of 4 hours. Proton pump inhibitors (PPI) should be discontinued at least 1 week prior to the test, antibiotics at least 4 – 6 weeks prior to the test. Please be aware that taking acid inhibitors or antibiotics may lead to false negative results due to blocked urease activity.
