Coagulation diagnostics
Material: | 2 ml – 10 ml citrate blood (1 : 10) or citrate plasma and EDTA-blood for thrombocyte count. Avoid long venous tourniquet application and hemolysis. Fill citrate tube in accordance with the citrate : blood ratio (1 : 10). The analysis should be done within 12 – 24 hours following blood draw. For the evaluation of individual factors, the sending of frozen citrate plasma (3 ml – 6 ml) is required. Please order a freezing container. |
Methods: |
Koagulometrie → Koagulometrie Spektrometrie → Immunturbidimetrie | Reference range | Please refer to the reference values of individual factors or refer to findings report. |

Please note | Preoperative coagulation status: PTT, INR, thrombin time, fibrinogen and thrombocyte count. Factor XIII-deficiency or thrombocyte function disorders will not be captured by these global tests. A normal PTT value does not safely rule out a von-Willebrand’s syndrome. Von-Willebrand diagnostics (factor VIII von-Willebrand factor (previously factor VIII-associated protein), factor VIII von-Willebrand-activity (previously factor VIII-ristocetin-cofactor) are recommended in case of suspicious individual or familial history. These tests may need to be repeated several times. |
