Creatinine in urine
Material: | 10 ml spontaneous urine or 10 ml of 24-hour urine with stating the total quantity. |
Methods: | Spektrometrie → UV- / VIS-Photometrie | Reference range | Spontaneous urine: 0,2 – 3,5 g/l 24-hour urine: Women: 0,8 – 1,5 g/24 hours Men: 0,9 – 2,5 g/24 hours |
Indication | Decreased glomerular filtration rate (determination of creatinine clearance). Reference value for laboratory values measured in the 24-hour urine. |
Please note | Collection of 24-hour urine must be carried out precisely. To check the plausibility of the measured laboratory values, creatinine evaluation is carried out. The concentration of the measured value is then applied to creatinine. |
