CH50
(Complete hemolytic complement activity)
Material: | 2 ml serum Centrifuge blood within 30 min of extraction, freeze serum and send frozen serum in cooling container (please request this prior to test). |
Methods: | Ligandenassays → Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) | Reference range | 69 – 129 % |
Indication | Congenital complement defects. The evaluation of CH50 is less useful for diagnostics and monitoring of complement consumption in immune complex diseases (especially with kidney involvement), autoimmune diseases, hereditary angioedema and septicemia. |
Please note | Concurrent determination of C3 and C4 is recommended. |
