Material: | If possible, blood extraction on site (Labor Krone), otherwise a minimum of 3 ml EDTA-blood. Please make sure, that the sample tube is fully filled to have as little air in it as possible. |

Indication | Suspicion of carbon monoxide poisoning |
Please note | Defect coal- or gas-heaters as well as combustion engines are the most common causes of carbon monoxide poisoning. In case of carbon monoxide poisoning the blood is of a cherry-red color (medical emergency!) |
