Material: | 2 ml serum, 30 ml urine, 20 ml gastric juice Morning blood extraction prior to taking medication is recommended. |
Please note | Barbiturates with short to medium half-life (Pentobarbital, Secobarbital) can be detected in the urine and in the serum from 24 up to 72 hours. Barbiturates with long half-life (Phenobarbital) can be detected in the serum for up to a week and in the urine for 2 to 3 weeks. |
