Antibiogram
Please note | An antibiogram is prepared, when a sensitivity-check of the detected pathogen appears reasonable. The type of sensitivity-test depends on the sensitivity spectrum of certain bacteria, sample material and the clinical question. In general testing is done according to the CLSI regulations (Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute). Only few exceptions are tested according to the regulations of the EUCAST (European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing): Helicobacter pylori, Campylobacter jejuni/coli and Corynebacterium. |
