Description | Clinical presentation: (Trias) chronic inflammation of the tear- and salivary glands as well as arthritis. Basic evaluations: ESR, CRP, blood count Immunology: ANA, ENA (SS-A approximately 95 %, SS-B approximately 50-60 %), cardiolipin-antibodies (phospholipid-antibodies), RF (60-70 %), anti-CCP, AMA-type 2 (with concurrent PBC), thyroid antibodies (in case of autoimmune thyroiditis), HLA-DR3 (RR: 9,7) In secondary Sjögren syndrome with rheumatoid arthritis, SS-A- and SS-B-antibodies are much less evident. |
