Basic evaluations:        

Blood:

Creatinine, urea, creatinine-clearance, ESR or CRP, full blood cunt, sodium, potassium, chlorine, acid-base-status, cholesterol, triglycerides, GOT, GPT, gamma-GT, haptoglobin, reticulocytes, ferritin

Urine:

Urine status, urine sediment, urine volume, osmolality, sodium, creatinine and protein, in the 24-hour urine, urine-protein-SDS-electrophoresis

Further tests for etiological evaluation:

Urine screening for drugs (antiphlogistics and others), heavy metals in the blood and urine (cadmium, lead etc.), tubular basal membrane autoantibodies
