Vasoactive intestinal peptide
(VIP)
Material: | 2 ml EDTA plasma, frozen Procedure: 4 ml EDTA blood are obtained with an EDTA monovette which is gently mixed. The blood is transferred to a special tube with Trasylol, which is available from our laboratory. The tube is inverted to mix thoroughly. After centrifugation the EDTA plasma is transferred to a new plastic tube (eg container with red cap), frozen and sent in with a cooling cell, that was stored at -20 °C. On the request form should be stated that the blood was sampled with "Trasylol tube". | Reference range | 10-101 pg/ml |
