Clinical presentation | Aphthae disease of cloven-hoofed animals, rarely transmitted to humans (such as laboratory staff), with development of aphthae and ulcers of the mouth area as well as vesicles on hand and feet. Significant deterioration of the general condition. Differential diagnosis: Aphthous stomatitis in children (herpes simplex virus), hand-foot and-mouth disease (Coxsackie A5, A10, A16; enterovirus type 71), herpangina (Coxsackie A2-6, A8, A10). |
