Please note | Ketamine is an injection narcotic (Cyclohexanone derivate with NMDA receptor inhibiting effect) with a fast onset and short duration of effect. It has analgesic and hypnotic effects and a respiratory depressing effect, but only in high doses. Unwanted side effects are hypertension, nausea, vomiting, increased salivation, increased intracranial pressure and hallucinations (this explains the use as an intoxicant). |
