Factor-VII-activity
Material: | 1 ml citrate plasma, frozen (unstable at 4°C – 8°C) |
Methods: | Koagulometrie → Koagulometrie | Reference range | 70% – 120% Children: Please refer to findings report |
Indication |
|
Please note | Factor-VII is vitamin-K dependent. A decreased liver synthesis function is the most common cause of factor-VII-deficiency. Guide to interpretation: 50 % – 70 %: sufficient hemostasis 25 % – 50 %: no increased tendency for bleeding, often also no decreased Quick’s value. Surgery with minor risk of bleeding can be carried out without substitution. 15 % – 25 %: increased risk of bleeding, in case of injuries and surgical procedures, a substitution should be given. < 10 %: spontaneous and life-threatening bleeds (such as brain hemorrhages) are possible When taking DOAKs (Dabigatran, Rivaroxaban, Apixaban or Edoxaban), an evaluation of the factor activity should be sought before the next dose. |
