Factor–II–activity
(Prothrombin)
Material: | 1 ml citrate plasma, frozen |
Methods: | Koagulometrie → Koagulometrie | Reference range | 70% – 120% Children: please refer to findings report |
Indication |
|
Please note | Guide to interpretation: 50 % – 70 %: Largely sufficient for normal hemostasis 25 % – 50 %: Increased risk of bleeding. Minor operations with slight risk of bleeding are possible, no blind punctures. Physiological in newborns. 15 % – 25 %: Increased risk of bleeding, substitution therapy required prior to surgical procedures and in case of injuries. < 10 %: Markedly increased risk of spontaneous bleeding, also life-threatening (i.e. brain hemorrhages)
When taking DOAKs (Dabigatran, Rivaroxaban, Apixaban or Edoxaban), an evaluation of the factor activity should be sought prior to taking the next dose. |
