Please note | Caffeine is a plant-based analeptic (methyl xanthine) and can be found naturally, mainly in the seeds of the coffee bush and the leaves of the tea tree, but also in mate, cocoa and kola nut. It works by inhibiting the adenosine receptors of the CNS. Therapeutically, caffeine is used to treat respiratory distress syndrome in newborns due to its bronchodilating effect. For the treatment of headaches and migraines, fix combinations with analgesics are available. |
